Commercial passive house buildings and the strong impact of windows
The July 2019 issue of US Glass Magazine does a great job of explaining the impact of passive house on the commercial building industry and the importance of high performance windows and glazing on the efficiency of commercial passive house buildings.
In 2009, approximately ten projects were passive house certified in North America. That number was more than 250 in 2016, with nearly 100 projects in development at the time according to the Accelerating Market Transformation for High-Performance Building Enclosures report from the Pembina Institute in Canada.
