Alpen’s most recent energy efficient commercial project in the Northwest.

About the Durham Education Center in Tigard, OR

The Durham Education Center is a net-zero energy building with classrooms and student recreation spaces.  Designers chose Alpen’s fiberglass ribbon window system for this project because it is uniquely able to meet the projects’ advanced air, water and structural performance requirements.  To satisfy the building’s highly specific requirements for thermal comfort, energy efficiency and student safety, we custom-designed four unique glass types that were utilized on different building elevations and use areas.  Glass in windows on the ground-level included laminated glass for wind borne debris, impact resistance and student safety.
